Sunday Eucharist: 9:30am

Holy Cross Chapel
A well-appointed chapel is part of the Words of Blessing office complex in Lake Villa. Holy Cross Anglican Church meets there for services and programs. The regular celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 9:30am each Sunday morning allows the members of the ministry, those who have gathered for the study programs, and those who may have no other place to worship to gather in prayer and in sacrament. On major feast days and during Lent The Holy Eucharist also is celebrated for the convenience of those associated with the ministry.

The traditional worship follows the 1979 edition of the Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church with Bible-based preaching and Anglo-Catholic ritual. A full program of traditional and contemporary music, accompanied by a variety of musical instruments, is the norm on Sunday morning.

Our buildings house a semi-permanent chapel, education spaces, and handicapped accessible facilities throughout. The 70 person seating capacity can be expanded and soon attendance will necessitate that expansion.

Education programs, based on Words of Blessing publications, are offered for all ages. Regular weekday Bible study programs and a healing ministry further expand the Words of Blessing ministry.

Holy Cross Church is affiliated with the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and is process of being admitted to the Synod of the Diocese of Quincy.
